Katie Hopkins mocked Black Lives Matter and Marcus Rashford in vile tweets before Twitter ban Posted on: June 20, 2020 Katie Hopkins was permanently suspended from Twitter on Friday evening after posting a slog of vile tweets. The latest tweets from @marcusrashford. Hopkins has recently criticised the efforts of Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford to encourage the government not to drop free school meals for children from low-income families during.
Feeding hungry children is universally considered to be a good thing – unless, of course, you’re Katie Hopkins.
The professional troll, often controversial for the sake of it, unsurprisingly found a issue with Marcus Rashford’s campaign to bring back free school meals over the summer.
Recognising the unprecedented scenario for poverty-stricken kids who rely on the scheme, the Manchester United striker penned an open letter to MPs and led a nationwide cry for the government to reverse its decision not to award free school meal vouchers outside term time.
As a direct result of Rashford’s work, the government has since made a u-turn, pledging six-week vouchers to around 1.3million children in a new ‘Covid Summer Food Fund’.
A useful barometer for goodness is Hopkins’ Twitter feed, which usually contains some sort of jab at anything remotely nice.
And true to form, Rashford’s campaign got the Hopkins treatment. She wrote: “Dear @MarcusRashford,

“Do you think women should think about how they are going to feed a child before they decide to have it? I do not want to pay to feed other people’s kids. You are welcome to.
“Thank you, Katie Hopkins.”
Well, Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt has had enough.
In a rather bizarre turn of events, the Dutch left-back has been taking the columnist to task over the past few weeks in response to her criticism of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
Dear @KTHopkins

And luckily, Van Aanholt was on hand to say what we were all thinking with regards to her take on Rashford’s campaign.
He said: “He’s done more for this country in 24 hours than you have your entire life. Bow before a king.”
Meanwhile, Swansea winger Wayne Routledge also responded to Hopkins’ comments by calling her a ‘pleb’. Simple, yet effective.
